Is Frank awful?

My DH has suggested Frank for DS2, it seems to fit well with DS1 who is Ted and DD Nancy.
Is Frank acceptable in 2023? Or is it ridiculously harsh sounding.
I do not like Franklin could maybe be swayed with Francis but do not love it.

I like it. It's a strong and honest sounding name.

I love Frank! Strong, and good for a grown man, but cute for a little boy. It’s an “old man” style name, similar to the one our boy ended up with. That type of name is popular now so no one is going to bat an eyelid when he’s older.
DH sadly vetoed it for our little boy.

I know (of) one, his brother is called Stanley.

I like it . Much better than a lot of the modern and unusually weird ones I have seen. I always think how a name would look on a job application. Frank says strong and dependable. Go with it.

I dislike it and it reminds me of men with misogynist attitudes, e.g. Frank sinatra

My friend has a Frank with a brother called George.
She had a lot of people say they hated it when he was born but she persevered.
It gets lengthened to Frankie all the time though.

Aw I’ve just had a baby Frank born in December 2022. We’re calling him Frankie while he is a baby but we birth certificated him Frank so he has the choice when gets older.

I was worried about the mixed reactions but sod it. Your baby your choice and no one is going to tell you they hate it once you’ve named the baby!!

It isn't awful but I don't think I'd choose it. It's quite American sounding. It would probably work well if you are a sporty family.
