Someone I work with with that name and honestly I always think of Silo (ie pig silo) especially given the nature of our job haha

I love it, it makes me think of a tv programme of the same name (after the main character) that I loved as a kid.

Reminds me of Silas Marner.

I used to watch a (German? Dutch?) TV programme as a kid about a boy who ran away from the circus IIRC. Also reminds me of the serial killer in Hollyoaks.

Not keen on it as i used to be a hollyoaks fan in my teens and it reminds me of the serial killer character. However it really doesn't matter what I think and I think if I knew another Silas in reality that wouldn't be my first thought of the name. X

Silas is also the name of the main villain in The Vampire Diaries - I wonder if films/TV shows view it on the same level as Lucifer? Given all the replies here reference bad guys on film..

Sorry I don't like it. Makes me think of the hollyoaks killer but also generally doesn't have a good 'feel' to it, cant really explain why
