I have a few in mind, finding it difficult to agree with my other half! Here we go...

Georgie - not georgia or georgina etc
Harlow
Paisley
Brodie
Indie
Willow
Tierney
Seren

Also, if you have any suggestions of names I might like, based on this list, please share.

I am not keen on old fashioned names (Elizabeth, Penelope etc)

Thank you in advance

Tia is lovely!

Glad you like Tia - it was on my list too but it didn’t fit with our surname. It means Goddess and has Greek roots. Theia, the long version, was Goddess of sight, sun, and birthed the sun, moon and dawn.

I like Harlow, Paisley, Brodie, Willow and Seren.
I love Seren too and have worked with children for 30 years and have never come across one either!

nelliebear8 · 23/10/2022 13:51

I agree with ppl, Willow and Seren are very pretty but the others aren’t.

MassiveSalad22 · 23/10/2022 13:54

LOVE the name Tierney. I posted on here about it years ago and was told it’s a surname. Don’t think we are cool enough for it anyway. Taught a really cool little Tierney years ago, she must be a teen now. I vote Tierney.

losingit31 · 23/10/2022 13:59

I like your taste in names, in general, but Tierney sounds too surname-y (I know an Irish Tiernan - boy) and Brodie is a Scottish boys' name in my experience.

You might like to explore Arabic girls names, e.g. Calla was suggested. Aya, Alia/Alya, Zaina(h), Laila??

Calla is lovely! I live in Scotland and I know three girls called Brodie ☺

I really like Tierney! I was at school with one, always thought it was a lovely name. Plus the Gene Tierney connection which is very glam.

It's my absolute favourite name but seems to be very 'marmite' unfortunately!

Estella is nicer than Estelle, I think, and very good. Lots of scope to alter and abbreviate nicely.

Mydogatemypurse · 23/10/2022 19:20

I dont like any tbh.
Georgie at a push

I'm so surprised it's getting such negative responses! I reckon you should go with it anyway if you love it.

Willow and Seren are nice. The other names are hideous...

Jelly4444 · 23/10/2022 23:46

Seren is beautiful OP. I like Indie too although I prefer India.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 24/10/2022 00:08

Don't like the others.
Meadow
Wynter

Livingbestlife · 24/10/2022 07:07

Go with this name. Honestly so what if other people don’t like it. Choose the name you love : )
