I need honest opinions on the name Neveah, the infamous heaven spelt backwards.

I like unusual names but nothing that looks completely made up. I also don't usually ask for anyone opinions of our childrens names as I believe as long as we like it that's all that matters.

We are struggling for a name for our girl and came across Nevaeh, I do like it and the meaning with it. We are religious but not as strongly as others may be.

Is it honestly a nice name or not.. I've seen comments over the years about it being a bit of a chavvy name.. don't really know why but I'm curious to see what people think. I think it's a lovely name but am apprehensive. We have others on our list so it's not our number 1 choice but I'm curious if others opinion of it.

2nd this name. It's beautiful and traditional I think.

When you see it written you have to really look at it to process how to say it.

Once you do it has a pretty sound to it, imo.

I think the problem may be that when it first was introduced it became very popular very quickly, like a fad, and therefore it might be overused or come with certain connotations to some people.

Surely you can work out they've (and I've) clicked on one of the most recently commented on name threads in this case, hence it was at the top of the list of new threads, and forgot to check the date?

You've read far too much into something done quite frequently, usually through absent-mindedness rather than not having a life.

Surely you can work out that this doesn't make any sense. If a thread was last commented on in Sept 2022 well then they've had to dig the thread up to post their 'no' comment? It wasn't appearing as an active thread.

Yes, it was as I commented on it exactly for that reason - as I imagine most if not all the other posters have done. Do you really think all of us searched the name Nevaeh to comment on an old thread? 😂

When someone has just commented on a thread I believe it goes up the list - well, it must do for one from 2022 to be on the first page of the name threads. I often visit the names thread as I'll be naming a baby in a few months time. I've never searched for a name though unless it's one on our shortlist which has been about two so far, none of which are Nevaeh.

It's currently the top of the names list of threads.

Obviously I was referring to the person whose comment revived the thread. I'm sorry this is so difficult for you to grasp.

@WakyWally the problem is that out there in the real world there may or may not be a 2 year old child with this name.
Her parents might be upset by an old thread being resurrected that's either people saying their daughters name is terrible or making them wish they had actually used the name.
I quite like the name personally. I think it sounds pretty and no one ever follows up from saying what their name means after introducing themselves (or a parent introducing their child) so who cares if it's "heaven backwards".
Unless it comes up in conversation and someone asks they'd not know any more than knowing that Matthew means "gift from God" or Sarah means "noblewoman".

I think you all need to get a grip for God's sake.

Too tacky and too neverish.

If you love ice cream, would you name your child, Maerc eci?
If you love Heaven just use Heaven, or Haven, or Angela.
