Elvis - yes after "the" Elvis but DH vetoed and I wasn't brave enough 🙈 still love it though!

I had a boy in my class last year named Elvys.

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/09/2022 02:37

I also love Persephone. It reminds me of music and flowers all at the same time.

The other one is Agnes. Don’t have a boy’s name as we have a dd and I didn’t spend time searching for those.

The whole point of having pets is so we can give them the names we wouldn't dare give our children. Like Gertrude, Giles, Lilith and Jemima. My children are grateful that they got solidly top ten English names, so they tell me. I still say my son would make a good Dudley, but he won't have it 😅

My cat is Rocco he was born on Madonna's birthday.
Only reason my son's is not called it, it didn't go with my other kids names.

Kaiden. I was going to use it until I found out it’s got um associations. I just found it in a dictionary.

I’ve can’t find the associations you’re referring to, just the usual name meaning. Can you share?

Nevaeh was born on Christmas Eve and I wanted to name her Winter but her dad said no it's stupid!

I always loved the name Linnet from Green Knowe. L names don't work with my surname unfortunately. Those books were some of my childhood favourites.

Linnet was my favourite name from Green Knowe too.

I also love Virginia, Astrid, Esther, Dahlia (ah sound not ay)

Mackenzie. It is my DD's name. I'm not common, I'm not trying to be different (in fact I always said I wanted a traditional baby name). I just genuinely love the name & kept going back to it after every other suggestion and oh wow does it ever suit her!?! I cannot imagine her being named anything else!
