I have several but Tycho and Ivar/Ivor are two of mine.

What are yours?

Seth
Amos

Both were vetoed

Nobledeedsandhotbaths · 23/09/2022 15:55

Clover
People tend to say it's a cow's name but I think it's really pretty

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 23/09/2022 15:55

Sheba.

Ruined by feckin' cats but who cares!

stressedandunimpressed · 23/09/2022 15:57

Ashton/Ashtyn - Absolutely love it. Partner hated it, my three boys have "traditional" names now thanks to their sperm donor's Grandma. But luckily their names can be shortened as nicknames

Roseinbloom20 · 23/09/2022 15:58

Elvis - yes after "the" Elvis but DH vetoed and I wasn't brave enough 🙈 still love it though!

TinyTear · 23/09/2022 16:04

Claudia
Virginia
Georgina

@TinyTear Claudia and Virginia... Oh I LOVE those names. I had the tubes tied a year after my third was born but I wanted a little girl named Virginia, shortened to Ginny

queuegie · 23/09/2022 16:06

For me it is Alaska - can this be both boys and girls?

Reminds me of snowy mountains and adventure.

Also lots of nick names eg Sky

Yes! I would definitely called her Ginny!

DH totally vetoed
sigh

Swithin.
Marvellous name, woefully underused.
DH vetoed it.

Toseland (from Green Knowe)

I love lots of the names here! Angharad is beautiful IMO; do people really hate it?And I didn't know Merryn, but I love it.
I adore Lysander but thought people didn't think of it/really know about it rather than hate it per se.
I also, relatedly, love Hero for a girl. And Clemency, although again I don't know if people hate it or if it's just not that common.

I like Cosmo for a boy but I don't know if people hate it.

Oh I met a woman called Merryn and she was lovely and described it as "Like Merry Christmas, but with an N" so I've always liked that name ever since.

I love this, although wonder how often she gets addressed as Nerry (or Merry Christmasn).

SocksForceFive · 23/09/2022 16:14

I loved Iona , Io and Una but DH vetoed!

Woofins · 23/09/2022 16:14

Love both named husband not having any of it tho

MiseryWIthAStent · 23/09/2022 16:16

Felicity. Maybe it's just who I mix with but no one thought it was nice either time I was pregnant 😅

Thinkbiglittleone · 23/09/2022 16:26

I liked lucifer, but obviously a no go Blush

Lilacsunflowers · 23/09/2022 16:53

Most names on this thread are really beautiful and much more memorable than the top 10 names like Oliver, Jack or Olivia!

Queenieloveforever · 23/09/2022 16:56

Always loved olive but found it got such a mixed reception especially with older generation. Do feel sad I’ll never have my own little olive. Will have to get a dog!

Or very unusual names:
