Love the name Isabel. Think its classy even if it is so popular.

Probably going to stir a few pots here what do people think of the nickname Issie, pronounced Iss-ee (iss rhyming with hiss or kiss).

We call our's Belle. Not a big fan of Issy or Izzy.

It sounds like you think you're too special for just Izzy

It's a very sickly name IMO.

It's sweet. I know a few Isabelle's who are known as Isa, which I also quite like. This is in Europe though where people pronounce it slightly differently - like 'Eessa'

I have an Isabel. The only one in her year at school ( about 50 kids) , infact I've not heard of another in the entire school ( 350 kids) . Never met another at baby group or classes anywhere. Met multiple Ezra's, Esme's, Bodhi's, willows and Indies and other so called " unusual" names though.

Your Isabel will likely have a similar experience to me - no-one else with my name throughout school or university then absolutely masses in the workplace, all 10-15 years older.
