Hi,
I'm new here! I'm expecting my third child in December and we are super excited because we are having a girl, we already have two lovely boys Oliver and Alfie. We cannot agree on a name and it's driving me insane! We know the middle name will be after my Mum's middle name Christine. Anyway so far our list is ; Ava, Sophie, Abigail, Lily, Grace. My favourite is Ava! What do you think? 💗

I like them all but all just so over used - like you have just looked at the top 10 baby names and went from there. I would probably say Ava too 😊

MsTSwift · 29/08/2022 08:15

Abigail or Hazel are lovely the others are over used so seem dull even though nice names. Lily/Ava/Grace etc are the Sarah/Claire equivalent in the 70s

Oh and do not chose any version of Eve. Dd1 was registering for something and as we sat down the teacher said “Evie?” So we said no not her he said “oh well worth a try every third girl is called that”

Wow thank you everyone for all your help. We've decided to call her Bethany Christine. X

Sorry me again it's still undecided but narrowed down to Julia or Bethany!

You never mentioned those names before! Grin

I love Julia, classy and classic, it deserves to be more popular. Bethany is nice, though.

pawkins · 29/08/2022 11:00

Julia out of those two.

ShowOfHands · 29/08/2022 11:06

Julia is much, much nicer than Bethany. I know a couple (adults) and invariably, they're called "Jools" which I like much less.

But both are infinitely more interesting than the ones in your op.

My vote is still Hazel however. Pretty and slightly more unusual and interesting.

I prefer Bethany by far. Though I prefer Bethan even more.

Firebird83 · 30/08/2022 04:55

Julia, definitely!

I run a Pre-school so probably have some bias when it comes to names. But I like Elsie, think it goes lovely with your boys names

Mummyof4Ireland · 01/09/2022 15:53

I have an Ava...I love it. It's a lovely girly pretty name and if you liked to use Irish names for something different Eabha is the Irish for Ava 💗

TeamGiles95 · 01/09/2022 16:20

We had 2 boys first Jack and Alfie. Then had a 3rd baby a girl and we named her Ava-Rose x

whatodowhattodo · 01/09/2022 23:00

If I had another girl I’d like Audrey or Florence (Flossie). Not answering the question you asked but hey! All the best with your pregnancy/growing family xx
