Hello, I'm looking for a girl's names and thought it might be nice to have one which tied in with the names of my two other daughters, which coincidentally mean bright / radiant. So thinking of anything along the lines of bright radiant, shining, light, moon, star, sun etc. Any ideas? Thanks!

Lucy means light. I assumed some of the variations of that name do too but you’d have to check.

Luna?

Always loved Noor - light in Arabic

MisterT373 · 21/08/2022 19:09

Nur (also spelled Noor, Nor, or Nour) is Arabic for light or even Divine Light)

Estella or Stella - star.

Celeste ... means heavenly

oceanbleu · 21/08/2022 19:11

I like Noor (arabic for light) but it's often mispronounced to 'nore' when it should be like loo with and N and R on the end if that makes sense Grin Luna is nice?

Celeste is really pretty, though I am reminded of Daphne and Celeste.

Luna?

I like Luna, but I feel like it may have had its day, and kind of merges into all of the other L names around at the moment - Lola, Lyra, Lila, Leila etc.

I didn't know that, but I'm a child of the 80s, and I know too many of them to use it!
