Hello everyone. Husband and I are finding it hard to pick a girls name. We have a boys name picked out already. Older sister is named Heidi.

Here are some on the shortlist that we both agree on!

Heidi and Madeline! Then they’d both have books for their names 😍 or Heidi and Matilda. Both have a different ending sound too which was a criteria for my kids’ names 😄

Also Heidi was on our list so I’ll paste it here for you in case that helps. Naming girls is HARD, way too much choice. Boys hard as so little choice 😄

These are all such nice suggestions that I'll be sharing with my husband. We have picked Tom/Thomas as a boys name. I love the name Georgia but unfortunately OH disagrees.

Heidi is not unique!

The only name I don't like on your list is Amy, just because I work in a nursery and we always have several Amy's (Various spellings). I think all your other names are lovely but I do think Lucy or Evelyn sound nicest with Heidi.

Lauren?

The baby will have been names by now, but I feel the same about Amy. I don't dislike it but it seems a bit nothingy, and I know quite a few who are called Amy plus the odd Amey, Amie and Aimee. It's one of those names that doesn't sound great in some accents.

Heidi and Iris go well as they have a similar EE sound, whilst being completely different.

Or Heidi and Eloise, if you want to keep to the book theme. Or Pippi Longstocking :)

Leah is wonderful!!!! Goes with Heidi..
Evelyn is also great (considering it for my baby) and also goes with Heidi (which is also a lovely name)

This is from august last year so I reckon the baby is named by now.

They are all beautiful names and more classic whereas I think Heidi is more unique and modern. Other more modern names if you prefer them
