Which name has more global appeal, style, substance, and a nicer ring to it? In other words (it's Satisfying and pleasing to the ear)

  1. Ace: means one who excels, #1 or expert.
  2. Lucky: means fortunate.
  3. Lavish: means Rich, cute, and lovable as a name. As a word means extravagant and abundant.

Etinoxaurus · 18/07/2022 23:25

For a dog, right?

Pallisers · 18/07/2022 23:26

I thought you were asking if you should call your baby Namenerd!

I knew an Ace (real name Alexander Charles Enright) it was a cool name for a nickname and very usable in real life.

I also just met a baby named Lucky. I wish him well.

NoCureForLove · 18/07/2022 23:27

Is it a baby or a brand you're naming?!

TrashPandas · 18/07/2022 23:27

Namenerd? What?

RegalChase · 18/07/2022 23:45

What's your question?

OP posts:
RegalChase · 18/07/2022 23:45

Yes for humans

Thanks for chiming in

Sorry, none of these are pleasing to my ear for a child.

Only thing that comes to mind is a child that will be mocked or bullied.

Any other suggestions?

What's your question?

  1. What is Namenerd?
  1. Why did you name a thread Namenerd with no explanation but felt the need to explain the definitions of simple words like 'lucky?
TheMess · 18/07/2022 23:51

None of the above.

Lovelycheese · 18/07/2022 23:52

What about 'Chunky' - always thought that was a nice word. Or 'Antidisestablishmentarianism' is really satisfying to say.

PeekAtYou · 18/07/2022 23:53

Lucky sounds like a cat or stripper

Lavish is probably not a global word so doesn't fit that criteria. Luxury/Luxe is probably a better known word globally.

Ace is probably closest to the requirements. The tennis term "ace" as well as sports star "ace" gives positive vibes. (It might be too intense for an average mediocre child though)

TheMess · 18/07/2022 23:54

None of these names 'mean' the definitions; they are the definitions because they're common English words. Lavish definitely doesn't 'mean' cute or adorable.

Are you operating bot accounts, attempting to build up internet history by starting these weird threads asking people to rate Silo, Genteel and Apoplexy as baby names?

BoJoGoGoGo · 18/07/2022 23:56

Ace meant A Crappy Effort when I was at school

Lucky will have a permanent metaphorical raincloud over them

Lavish is a synonym for Lush, which would probably be applicable to the person using any of these names

RegalChase · 18/07/2022 23:57

Google is your best friend. Simply type lavish name meaning... Thanks for your input anyhow.

As a name for a person, none of them.

Ace may be an ok nickname (One of the Doctor's companions, real name Dorothy). And of course Ace Rimmer (smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast).

Lucky ...nope. Lavish - give over, 'lavish spread'....Grin

SpaceJamtart · 18/07/2022 23:59

Ace is alright,
The others are not

RegalChase · 18/07/2022 23:59

Thanks for the reply. Your right Ace does have a positive, upbeat vibe.

Ive met kids with similar names op and it's just.... No. Think 'Messiah' - an arsehole. 'Rocket' - fat and slow. 'Incredible' - anything but. Poor kids.

quietnightmare · 19/07/2022 00:02

Ace is the best of the three. What about wilder
noble or
Able
dapper
brave
Major
Frank

RegalChase · 19/07/2022 00:03

Thanks for the intake. Yes, I'll say August, Cassius, or Shakur??

Shakur pronounced Sh-Core or Sha-Core

Memyselfandfood · 19/07/2022 00:04

Honestly none, not for a child any way.
i’m sure you could find names with similar meanings that are, more like actual names.
maybe you could use these as nick names.

RegalChase · 19/07/2022 00:05

I adore these. Especially Noble and Able. You dislike lucky?

RegalChase · 19/07/2022 00:05
