I would vote for Yousef, its almost impossible to mispronounce. Elias would have been my top choice but there is a mean nickname that some teens called a lovely kid called Elias that I know and since I've been leas keen. Didn't want to write it down in case it ruins it for you.

Zakariyah was the other name on our shortlist too!

Out of those mentioned on this thread, I much prefer Zakariah. Also like Zain as an alternative.

Go with something that won’t need too much emphasis on the correct pronunciation as everyone deserves their name to be said the proper way.

I like them all apart from Ahmed. Not super-keen on Ali, but it's ok. The rest I love.

Omar, Yousef and Lawrence are my most handsome.

Im an Arabic speaker so would go with Yusuf.

But I may have personal reasons for suggesting Zakariyah

In fact Yusuf was one of two names I suggested for my latest grandchild. But then ……..😉

Ahmed would be pronounced Amed or Achmed
Elias wouldn’t be pronounced properly either.
Ziad would be ok probably but few people would get Zaid right.

Idris is also popular where I am in the Arab world but again people could end up saying it their own way. It does however work well as a Muslim name in a multicultural society.

Idris/Idriss is quite popular where I live, but it's only recently become popular - it was a granddad name a few years ago

I teach a Zaid and have often thought what a lovely name it is.

@JellyBellyNelly Top two choices were Yousef and Ahmed because my Husband loves the meaning of those names.

I like Ahmed and Zaid.
