I don't know if it's the hormones(time of month not pregnancy) but Prudence is beginning to have a certain charm. Somehow it seems adorable to me when I picture it on a little girl.

@MargheritaAndMargaritaPlease yes!!!! Angus and Hamish were both on my boy shortlist. I pushed SO HARD for Angus but DH would not budge, said he knew a boy in school etc, I managed to get him to reluctantly consider it as a middle name. Also got a hard no for Hamish, luckily I had a girl

If you lay your prejudices aside I think Mavis and Enid are quite nice sounding, and since Mabel and Edith hand been revived I don’t see way they shouldn’t be.

If I have a DD I intend to use the middle name Beverly. It’s my mums name and she hates it and tells me not to give it to a baby but I love it as a middle name. I wouldn’t use it as a first name as I dislike Bev, but said in full I think it’s lovely

I have a soft spot for the name Courtney.

Gary because I has a massive crush on Gary at school, he had incredible eyes and was a total scoundrel. I treated him with aloof contempt of course to throw my classmates off the scent.

We had neighbours called Hamish and Angus. We used to call them Hamish and Anguish.

Olga, Angharad, Olive, and Betty sound lovely to me although I wouldnt have the balls to use any of them.
