Which of these 4x girl names?

Really torn, looking for general consensus and some advice. We already have 1 girl (strong Irish name, husband is Irish), 1 boy - fairly generic name.

Torn between these:

Grace

Annie (husband wants Ann or Angela (no way [sorry to all Angelas]) but I think I could get away with an Annie, even if she was registered as Ann.

Nancy

Orla (Irish connection again, but don't want to overdo this either - the baby will be born in the north west, and other than the father being Irish there is no other connection!!).

Don't ask about a middle name yet! The above is difficult enough!

Orla, of those four.

Definitely not Nancy.

Snowiscold · 24/05/2022 20:40

Nancy is a form of Ann, though. They’re all fine. I have a soft spot for Grace, though I know it’s popular.

TabithaTittlemouse · 24/05/2022 20:43

Orla

Iliada · 24/05/2022 20:44

You could always go for the Basque name Ane (pronounced An-eh). It’s cool, cute, super short and definitely the most grown-up version of Annie out there.

MerryMarigold · 24/05/2022 20:45

I like Orla and Nancy. Anna is nice, Annie ok, Ann not really. Grace is a beautiful name but just overused so become a bit boring.

LadySlipper · 24/05/2022 20:48

Nancy

GeorgiaGirl52 · 24/05/2022 20:49

Orla brings to mind the Derry Girls.

Parryon · 24/05/2022 20:50

Orla is beautiful

resm · 24/05/2022 21:29

Definitely Grace!

17caterpillars1mouse · 24/05/2022 21:32

I love Annie ( I also think Angela would be really cute on a little girl)

I quite like Anne but other names you could consider that shorten to Annie :- Anneliese, Annabel, Rhiannon, Anya, Annabeth

orchidsunrise · 24/05/2022 21:33

Nancy is nice and close to Ann to satisfy your husband.

Also like Orla and having Irish father is more of a link than many Orlas.

Grace - too common.
Ann - bit dull isn't it, but could be a middle name for Orla or shortening of Nancy.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 24/05/2022 21:34

Annie is nice, but if there is an Irish connection what about Áine?

Trinacham · 24/05/2022 21:35

Annie

deadsoonihope · 24/05/2022 21:36

Anything but Nancy. Grace is nice.

pitterypattery00 · 24/05/2022 21:37

Like Orla the best by far.

Annie is cute, but I think I'd go with Anna or Annabel as full name.

Grace is nice enough. Not keen on Nancy at all, sounds a bit wet to me. I think Nell is nice though.

I would be happy as an Orla, Annie/Anna or Grace but I wouldn't personally want to be a Nancy!

romdowa · 24/05/2022 21:38

Orla or Anna.

LittleOwl153 · 24/05/2022 21:45

I would go

Orla Grace
Or Annie Grace

Anabell Grace
Anna Grace
Nancy Ann

(I quite like Grace as a second name!)

sunflowerdaisyrose · 24/05/2022 21:49

I like Grace and Annie a lot. Don't mind Orla. Really don't like Nancy.

Mumofgirls2017 · 24/05/2022 21:51

Nancy

fruitypancake · 24/05/2022 21:54

Annie gets my vote.. also like Nancy but way more common

Clevs · 24/05/2022 21:54

Grace

WeasilyPleased · 24/05/2022 22:28

I love Nancy and Annie and really dislike Orla (Oral) and Grace.

Mwnci123 · 24/05/2022 23:10

Grace

yikesanotherbooboo · 24/05/2022 23:29

I like Nancy and Annie but see them both as familiar names for Ann.
I would therefore pick Ann and see which 'stuck'.

Saltnpepperr · 24/05/2022 23:30

Orla
