Useable? Yes or No?
Is it too much linked to the biblical reference (prostitute)? Or do you think people are over all that now?
Would love to hear your thoughts. Delilah would be sister Noah.

I like it.

organicoatmilk · 26/03/2022 09:11

I love the sound but Delilah from the Bible ruins it.

Bagelsandbrie · 26/03/2022 09:13

One of the main characters from the Tv series Wayne which is currently very popular on Prime.

Mysa74 · 26/03/2022 09:20

I like it, it makes me think more of the Plain white T's song than the Tom Jones one though.. Hey there Delilah is a great tune

MoonBat · 26/03/2022 09:23

I absolutely love the name. Makes me think of the Queen song, which is brilliant despite being about a cat not a person 😁
Please please please use it, I'm not having any more babies so I can't!

sunnydaysmiles · 26/03/2022 10:16

Love it!

Hadtocomment · 26/03/2022 10:20

I like it. Characterful.

featheryfancy · 26/03/2022 10:29

I love it and it would be one of our top contenders were we not very close to Stoke on Trent.
It's the teams anthem with some interesting adjustments to the lyrics Hmm

Wagsandclaws · 26/03/2022 10:30

I'm not having more babies at 50 so I used it for my dog.

I love the name and I always think of the Plain White T's song.

ofwarren · 26/03/2022 10:36

I like the sound of it but the Tom Jones thing puts me off.
Kids won't know that though.

RoostasTowel · 26/03/2022 13:24

What's with all the hidden comments? wtf have people been saying? Confused

I just think of the Tom Jones song. Other children might not know the song but you'll get plenty of weird adults who feel the need to sing it to your daughter. Weirdoes just can't help themselves.

I was wondering that Confused

Crunched · 26/03/2022 13:31

The comments hidden were irrelevant to the name Delilah, so nothing sinister. There was a rogue poster last night saying all sorts of weird and wonderful things. Their posts were deleted across a few threads.

WhoppingBigBackside · 26/03/2022 13:57

Dreadful but popular. Lots of Lilahs, Lilas, Lylas and Islas around so both dreadful and samey

Lurking9to5 · 26/03/2022 14:04

I prefer Della, only ever known ONE Della so it's rare without sounding too unusual imo.

beans1992 · 26/03/2022 14:28

Beautiful. Bold and strong, can be Lilah for short. Go for it.

whiteroseredrose · 26/03/2022 14:28

Love it!

Luredbyapomegranate · 26/03/2022 15:01

I don’t like it much, it’s quite fussy like Jemima etc. But it’s quite popular and there’s nothing wrong with it.

TokenGinger · 26/03/2022 15:15

I really love the name Delilah.

TokenGinger · 26/03/2022 15:17

I'm not sure if it's a generational thing, or just my taste in music, but I didn't automatically think why, why, why, Delilah. I thought, hey there Delilah, what's it like in New York City? You're a thousand miles away, but girl tonight you look so pretty!

Babdoc · 26/03/2022 15:24

Stabbed to death by jealous ex boyfriend (Tom Jones song) or biblical villain who disempowered Samson. Hmm - not very auspicious name, OP!

Someone said "Clammy" was a nice name. A couple of people objected a it's been hidden Grin
OctaviaRedQueen · 26/03/2022 16:09

I like it but probably wouldn’t go for it with brother Noah as then it does sound a bit Biblical.

Raizin · 26/03/2022 16:13

I always think of the hussy in the Bible when I hear it.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 26/03/2022 16:16

I love the word hussy. Also fond of 'brazen strumpet'.
