I’m scared to do this 😱

I know a name is a personal choice and what I deem to be a lovely name would be someone else’s absolute bottom choice garbage.

This will be my third baby my other daughter is named Indie Blossom May (Lastname)

If we have another girl we are going to call her Orla Daisy Jean (Lastname)

Really makes me thing of oral sorry

CremeEggThief · 24/03/2022 15:08

Make sure you really pronounce that r.

As an Irish person living in England, it is infuriating hearing Ola as the prounciation a lot.Angry

FinnRussell · 24/03/2022 17:02

Orla is a lovely name ❤️

Fromthebirdsnest · 24/03/2022 18:44

Orla is my youngest daughter's middle name , I love it my dad and his side of my family are Irish so it was paying homage to them and it means golden princess and my children are blonde so was perfect for us x congratulations x

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/03/2022 19:07

Orla is nice and popular.

It’s getting so popular you don’t need to worry about the Oral thing I don’t think

Edie is too close to Indie as you say.

Kitkat151 · 24/03/2022 19:22

I like it...but there’s loads of them around ( I’m NW England)

bettertocryinamercedes · 24/03/2022 19:45

Really love it

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 24/03/2022 19:48

‘Orla want is my two front teeth’

Sorry OP, appreciate I’m the minority but I find it to be an ugly sound; OarLA.

canyoubelievethat · 24/03/2022 19:49

Orla Daisy Jean is lovely!

Just10moreminutesplease · 24/03/2022 19:53

It’s a beautiful name and goes really well with your other daughter’s name too.

TinaTurtle · 24/03/2022 19:54

Love Orla Daisy Jean!

FolornLawn · 24/03/2022 19:58

I’m with you @YellowAndGreenToBeSeen, I think it’s lumpen and plain.

COL1N · 24/03/2022 20:01

My DD is Orla & she is gorgeous 🥰

WaitinginVain · 24/03/2022 20:42

It's a beautiful name but I don't actually think it goes with Indie at all.

DramaAlpaca · 24/03/2022 20:45

It's a lovely name, with a beautiful meaning. I do think it sounds nicest in an Irish or Scottish accent though, with an obvious slightly rolled 'r' sound.

NickBWilliarms · 24/03/2022 20:51

I love the name Orla. I didn't know the meaning before, but now I do, I love it even more!

Easterbunnyiswindowshopping · 24/03/2022 20:53

Oral? Nope from me.

RuthW · 24/03/2022 20:53

I don't like it but it's a perfectly reasonable name

salcombebabe · 24/03/2022 20:58

My granddaughter is Orla and I love it 🥰

MonkeyPuddle · 24/03/2022 21:11

I think it’s lovely, I don’t know an Orlas. It feels like a strong name to me.

Mimi91 · 28/03/2022 19:53

My DD is Orla. We had a list of lovely girls names, but this was the only one we loved. When we introduce her to people, they often say her name is beautiful. I wouldn't worry about the oral thing, my phone has never tried to auto correct it (and it autocorrects every sodding thing), nor have we ever received messages with 'oral'..just a ridiculous reason to not give her that name 😅

JG89 · 04/08/2022 12:28

My little girl is Orla Grace, she’s got the whitest hair, our little Golden Princess. It’s such a beautiful name, go for it ✨

KirstenBlest · 04/08/2022 12:46

Makes me think of Paula.

emmathedilemma · 04/08/2022 13:24

I really like it (and Finn)
