Who was the most beautiful girl in your year at school?

Mine was Juliette. The other ‘pretty girls’ were Luisa, Holly and then there were a few Rebecca/Rachels.

What were the names of the pretty people?

It was Tracey in our year at high school so don't think names associate with attractiveness Wink.

Just looking for my name. Wink

But on a serious note, there was no one terribly beautiful that I can recall. I didn’t really go in for beauty contests at that age.

Clementine. Still beautiful.

Funkyslippers · 19/03/2022 16:20

In primary school it was my best friend Marie (pronounced Marry). She was beautiful and was quite different to me. She was vegetarian and went home for lunch (I was sooo jealous as I had to eat school dinners!). Also very popular, unlike me! Her personality made her more attractive. I didn't notice anyone else who was beautiful, maybe because they weren't very nice

Thewindwhispers · 19/03/2022 16:20

We had three and they were Liz, Liz, and Rachel.

Anon778833 · 19/03/2022 16:25

Amanda - she also had pink National Health glasses when I was only allowed the brown ones (they came in pink blue or brown and, obviously, the blue was only for boys)!!! I often wonder what she’s doing today.

Do you think because Rachel is such a lovely name, people associate it to loveliness and treat the girl accordingly, so she then in then perceives herself as lovely, behaves as such, and ultimately that is what beauty is.. Confused

All the Rachels/Rachaels I've known have been horrible. Beautiful, but horrible.

I think it's because we're mostly a bunch of 30+ year olds commenting hence names like Amanda, Danielle, Rachel, Laura, Claire repeating etc. If I was to ask my daughter she would say Luna or something. The Rachel I know has sharpie eyebrows and swears at her kids.
