Hey, just curious if we have any baby name envy members on these baby name threads

if so what do you think of SJ and naomi?!

i personally really enjoy the podcast and youtube

What do people ask the name consultant?

if this is a genuine question, on the podcast SJ and Naomi answer dilemmas this could be stuff like someone can't agree on a name with the partner so they give SJ some name ideas that they like and she researches into the meaning and stuff and tries to help people out with finding a name they like, have a look on youtube

People would rather pay what I assume is a substantial amount of money, than Google 'Dave name meaning' or 'Dave name origins'?

They and I live in very different worlds.

The reaction the OP got was because her post was worded and punctuated badly, so people didn’t understand what she was talking about. She also seems to have assumed people would have heard of this podcast or SJ and Naomi, when it’s clear no one/hardly anyone has.

No the OP got the responses she got because a few posters take pleasure in acting like superior bitches and ridiculing other posters.

It’s a baby name thread, and she posted about a podcast relating to…baby names! Even after the OP apologised for the wording of her post, posters continued to take the piss.

Sorry you feel attacked OP, we’re not all bad promise!

If it's OK for you to comment on OPs choice of podcast, and supposedly expect people to notice and pay attention to that comment, then that's exactly the same as people commenting on baby names...

@topsytils not sure why you got the outrageous reaction you did but I knew what you were on about right away :) I actually really enjoy the podcast and prefer it to her youtube videos now as I like the sister dynamic.

Some of the names I wouldn't use but I find it interesting how she gets the names she does for people. She's very thoughtful.

I'm surprised with the reaction on here... its a top rated podcast on the parenting section and has a big community following and as you're all looking at baby name threads its not wrong to presume the poor OP would have found some people that also enjoyed a similar show... The 'banter' wasn't very funny

I watch baby name Monday on YT, haven’t heard the podcast though. SJ recently did videos where she took a ‘safe’ name then suggested bold and daring alternatives. I thought it might be a fun game for Mumsnet. For example, if Violet is the safe name, Zinnia might be a bold alternative or Valli if you want to be daring. If Delilah is safe, Deidre could be bold, Delphi could be daring. I think some of her videos are fun!

I absolutely love SJ and Naomi and their podcast. I am rooting for Naomi through her cancer treatment and am devastated for her.

I think they bring happiness, fun and positivity to baby naming and I love listening in.

Surprised more people on here who love discussing names haven't heard of it.

Somewhat missing the point, but I do know a pre-school aged girl called Envy irl...
