Elizabeth Beatrice?

What do you think? Too much of a mouthful? Too many royal names?!

She would probably be called Eliza, but DH wants Elizabeth on the birth certificate

Sounds lovely! Very classic, lovely name.

Bumpmakes4 · 02/03/2022 14:07

Lovely Smile

8stone13 · 02/03/2022 14:08

Wonderful names OP, separately and together, in any order. Congratulations Smile

Mischance · 02/03/2022 14:11

Splendid. One of mine is Elizabeth (on the birth certificate) - no-one has ever called her that and we did not intend to - she is Beth - but we thought having Elizabeth on birth cert would give her lots of choice for the future.

Dinoteeth · 02/03/2022 14:16

Elizabeth is lovely, Beatrice is OK
But together they are a bit of a mouthful.

I'd rethink the Beatrice unless it's a family name that has sentimental meaning.

KirstenBlest · 02/03/2022 14:22

Doesn't flow very well but both names are nice

Beatrice Elizabeth flows nicely

MinglingFlamingo · 02/03/2022 14:22

Love it

Asongfromthedarkesthour · 02/03/2022 14:23

I think this is a beautiful name. I have an Elizabeth by birth certificate but we hardly use it, she is Lizzie to everyone. I love it, such classic names.

StopForAMinute · 02/03/2022 14:38

Lovely. I love Elizabeth.

Averyproperteaparty · 02/03/2022 14:42

Ahhh absolutely gorgeous 😍

Lesperance · 02/03/2022 14:43

Boring and doesn't sound great together because of the two "b" sounds. Both only ok.

TeenPlusCat · 02/03/2022 14:44

Lovely. Can't go wrong with Elizabeth, great full length name and a variety of shortenings too.

Beamur · 02/03/2022 14:45

Two of my favourite names. I don't think they flow brilliantly but I don't think that actually matters as you virtually never say middle names out loud.
Elizabeth has many great diminutives and I think Eliza is one of the best.

Luredbyapomegranate · 02/03/2022 14:59

Lovely, classic.

DogsAndGin · 02/03/2022 19:05

Lovely name. I agree with DH

DramaAlpaca · 02/03/2022 19:06

Very nice. A good classic choice.

Lemonweightloss · 02/03/2022 19:09

Gorgeous

Blubells · 02/03/2022 19:23

Beatrice Elizabeth flows better imo

Holly60 · 02/03/2022 19:24

Lovely! Good taste op

toastofthetown · 02/03/2022 19:38

I don't love the flow of the -beth Bea part of the name. It's a bit choppy, though not horrendous sounding. Not too royal though; I don't think anyone could give a fig about Andrew's children and they'll only continue to fade into irrelevance.

scottishnames · 02/03/2022 20:08

Unless you intend to use both names together, all the time, I really don't think 'flow' matters at all. Middle names can be great to have, but they are very rarely used in everyday life.

Elizabeth Beatrice is very nice.

BlueGreyApple · 02/03/2022 20:27

I prefer Eliza Beatrice or Elizabeth Bea?

But Elizabeth Beatrice isn't horrible.

IstayedForTheFeminism · 02/03/2022 20:29

I love it.

StopStartStop · 02/03/2022 20:31

Beautiful.

I hate mn's obsession with nicknames bu the one that sprang to mind was Betti-Bea. I would never use it, though.

londonmummy1966 · 02/03/2022 20:34

I like both names but agree with PPs that Beatrice Elizabeth sounds better. Interestingly my grandmother was Beatrice (but not Elizabeth) and called Beth for some reason.
