Should I change my babies name?

Hi guys, please can you help me with a dilemma! Me and my sister are both pregnant with girls and we haven't discussed baby names with each other at all. She's much further along and today announced her babies name will be Cara. I'm now confused on what I should do as me and my partner have chosen Zara for our daughters name! Her babies middle name is going to be after our Grandmother who died last year and that was my plan. It's a situation where all I can think is what are the odds! I've had my daughters name made up in my mind for the last few years and I've never imagined naming my daughter anything else so I don't even have a back-up. I'm nervous if I go ahead she's going to think I copied her and it's going to cause a drama but at the same time it's the only name I've wanted for a girl. The middle name I'm happy to change to something else but would you change the first name in my situation?

If it was Clara and Cara I'd change it, but Zara has a different feel. I'd stick if I loved it!

It wouldn't even enter my head that this would be an issue.

They're two completely different names. Surely it doesn't matter if they rhyme?? Also, if you're happy to change the middle name, and (apologies if this is an incorrect assumption) they are likely to have different surnames yes? So no issue.

Two very different full names, bar the first name rhyming.

I'd be so shocked if anyone took issue with this tbh!

@Anyfeckinusername Funny thing is I have a cousin called Sara but she pronounces it like Sarah and we haven't spoken since we was like 5 so she doesn't even pop into my mind! Regarding pronunciation think it's an accent thing as this popped up earlier in the thread. It might be a London/South thing but pronounced in our accent they rhyme. For me they're pronounced like Car-Rah and Zar-Rah. I know it may be different in an accent like Irish as my friend pronounces Cara different.

Don't worry about it.

Seriously. Bigger things to worry about. Cara and Zara will be great friends.
