Think I've gone off our baby's name!

Baby girl due in the next few weeks, since finding out we were expecting and then 100% decided when we found out she was a girl we have decided on the name Millie- to the point we've not got a back up. I still like the name but for some reason these last couple of weeks I feel like I'm not 100%. I don't know if this is just FTM last minute panicking 😂. If not, any similar suggestions? Her middle name will 100% be Eliza x

I like Millie.
I love the idea of having it as a nn for Camille.
Camille Eliza is beautiful.

MonicaGellerBing · 14/02/2022 16:15

I know I'm very childish but I just hear Millie and then hear Willy 🤣

UserBotLurking9to5 · 15/02/2022 21:54

millie is a bit blah.

Love Eliza

Eliza Millie works better, but the frilly name in the middle.

Blue4YOU · 15/02/2022 22:25

I agree that Eliza Milly is a better option than Millie Eliza. Sounds better to say.
There are names like Molly, Rosie, Flora, Evie, Ella, Penelope/Penny, Violet etc that are very “old chic”.
All lovely names.
There are other names that spring to mind like, that are different but in the same kind of vibe:
Nell
Beth/Bethany
Rebecca
Joy
Mari
Thea
Martha
Nora
Vivienne
Theodora
Cara
Clarissa

@KirstenBlest

Wow how rude and none are misspelled even with English not being my first language or even my second. It’s not my fault you havent heard of these names.

Milleah (Mil - leah) Eliza - baby centre.com spells it this way

Amillie Eliza - hip hop and rap singer

Millina Eliza - 16 and Pregnant: Season 5 there a a girl who spells her name this way

Minnie Eliza- correct spelling

Or similar names

Emmaline Eliza - correct spelling

Bonnie Eliza - correct spelling

Aubrey Eliza - correct spelling

Cilla Eliza - correct spelling

Thankfully you think they are all awful , imagine everyone thought and acted like you. That’s a scary thought

Elbels · 15/02/2022 22:35

It's weird seeing your name ripped apart on here!

I'm an adult Milly, it was given as a nickname in childhood and has stuck around until adulthood.

For what it's worth it hasn't held me back!

yikesanotherbooboo · 16/02/2022 06:24

Don't worry about personalised gifts.

@whysoserious123, you are rude too and don't use excuses. For all you know, English might not be my first language.

Milleah (Mil - leah) - it's a horse breed

Amillie Eliza - hip hop and rap singer with a yoonique name

Millina Eliza - 16 and Pregnant: Season 5 there a a girl who spells her name this way. It looks made up and would probably sound like Milliner

Minnie Eliza- correct spelling - Agree

Or similar names

Emmaline Eliza - incorrect spelling. It's Emmeline

Bonnie Eliza - correct spelling. Yes but bonnie has another meaning

Aubrey Eliza - correct spelling. Aubrey is a man's name

Cilla Eliza - correct spelling. Cilla is a diminutive

Cleo Eliza

I think of Millie as a dog's name. My friend has a cocker spaniel called Millie.

CrackerGal · 16/02/2022 13:30

What about Esme, Wren or Cleo? I think they'd go with Eliza. Or do you want it to have an 'y' sound at the end?

CrackerGal · 16/02/2022 13:31

CrackerGal · 16/02/2022 13:31

@BabyFeb22

I absolutely love Chloe and always have it was always going to be my 'baby name' but DP had an ex called Chloe and while I'm really don't care about it he does! I also love Matilda but he doesn't 😂. Trust me to change my mind last minute! Also people have bought us personalised stuff even though I said I didn't want stuff with her name on just in case!
I wouldn't worry about the personalised stuff you can still use it.

SweetNcrunchy · 16/02/2022 13:56

I love Eliza and also Camilla with the nn Milla.

Camilla Eliza

Eliza Camilla

Both work.

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 16/02/2022 14:10

My adopted cat was called Millie when we got her at age 5…I wasn’t keen on it at first to be honest but she recognised her name and so we kept it and it grew on me 😊

However, for a baby girl I think I prefer it as a shortened version of a name, as previous posters have said.

Romilly Eliza is gorgeous 😊
