Love it!

@Valhalla17

The only problem with Clarence is doesn't make a nickname. Maybe Larry at a stretch.

My friend is Clarence and we all call him Clary....

I know a Clarence and he too is generally called Clarry which I actually quite like.

Newbabynewhouse · 29/01/2022 23:37

Eeek nope

Hopeful16 · 30/01/2022 06:11

Clarence Clatterbucket was one of the Tetley tea characters from the advert! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Porridgeislife · 30/01/2022 06:17

Awful. One to chalk up to bonkers pregnancy hormones.

Roselilly36 · 30/01/2022 07:58

Cross eyed lion 🦁 not a name I would choose.

Blubells · 30/01/2022 08:00

I really like Clarence. Strong, classic and not overused.

Mollymalone123 · 30/01/2022 08:01

Clarence the crossed eyed lion and also our family teddy bear
Don’t do that to a child

I can't believe you can actually remember the Tetley tea people's names Grin

What program/ film is the lion 🦁 in?

Luredbyapomegranate · 30/01/2022 09:09

My initial reaction was NO, but it’s not different to Laurence really.. so still a no, but in small case Grin

Tabletable · 30/01/2022 09:36

Brilliant name!
I did think of True Romance which is also great.

ancientgran · 30/01/2022 09:39

@tearinghairout

Clarence was a cross-eyed lion! Also a Benny Hill character... But those were a long time ago.
The cross eyed lion was the first thing I thought of but you are right it was along time ago.
Enko · 30/01/2022 09:41

Really love it.

ancientgran · 30/01/2022 09:42

@Lockdownbear The film was mid 60s and was called Clarence the Cross-Eyes Lion. Then there was a TV series for a few years called Daktari and I think Clarence was in that as well.

ancientgran · 30/01/2022 09:44

That's so true. I really like Laurence but don't like Clarence and I honestly can't see why now you mention the similarity.

That's one to ponder.

Savingpeoplehuntingthings · 30/01/2022 09:44

Reminds me of Supernatural (TV show) which I love so I like it.
