Nature/bohemian names

I quite like nature names, names with a slight bohemian feel to them. Some of the names I like are Amber, Jasmine and Skye. All of them feel a bit dated now as they peaked in popularity a while ago, but I'm still tempted to use Amber.
I just wondered what other names I might like, nothing too unusual. If this baby is a girl she will be a summer baby. I love the name Summer but it's my friends daughters name and just feels a bit too close.

Other names on our list
Alannah
Daphne
Esme

Nothing feels quite right!

If you like wren but it's too short what about jenny-wren?
I love Amber, if you're drawn to a name you'll never regret giving it to your baby.

Lemonweightloss · 28/01/2022 05:37

I like Amber too.
Love Eden, Alba, Wren.

@laurenGame I love Melody! I had forgotten that one.
Eden is nice but my son has a friend called Eden so it's a boy's name to me.

Some greats suggestions everyone. Laurel is pretty! Just not sure my southern accent does the l sound justice!
I'm glad lots of people like Amber, it will be hard to convince DH on it though. He loves Alana. I'll try Melody on him later!
It's a shame Luna is so close to Lunatic! It's such a beautiful name, just makes me think of the night sky.

Amber just makes me think of an Amber traffic light Grin
I don't think Luna will be called lunatic, it's like an Arsenal supporter being called arse. Just doesn't happen as it's not v funny, and when it's not funny people move on with teasing Smile

Buddhabowl · 28/01/2022 09:56

Another one I like is Flora. Do people think of butter?

I really don’t think luna being close to lunatic is an issue..?!

TopCatsTopHat · 29/01/2022 15:13

I think of Luna Lovegood the Harry Potter character. I liked her ethereal intelligence. 😊

Flea, Tick (short for Felicity) Ant (short for Antonia) Dawn Anemome Arachne Soleil Misty
Arachne Envy (not envy) why not Aragog?

If you like Luna and Alana, Elara might be an option? It's one of the moon's of Jupiter 🌙

Flora is utterlybutterly.

Yeah i think its an issue unfortunately.

Buddhabowl · 30/01/2022 17:15

Elara is lovely.
Ok so I've been away for the weekend and heard a sister sib-set called Lilac and Primrose.

Primrose has always been my guilty pleasure name, one I love but couldn't quite bring myself to use.
It was adorable on this little girl and put it right back on the table. Primrose anyone? Is it now more usable? DH hasn't vetoed, seems to like more than Amber. He isn't sure about 'prim' though. I don't mind Prim.

SecretaryOfNagriculture · 30/01/2022 17:44

I don't hate Primrose but "Prim" isn't a very nice thing to be called. It's also got "rim" in the name.
Rose, Rosy or Posy are better names, maybe a bit too twee though.

What about Lavender or Nova?
I like Elara, Luna and Soleil.
