Worried we chose a bad name!

Our DD is now 10wx- and I’m seeking a bit of external verification that we chose a nice name. Seems silly but I feel like her name hasn’t ‘stuck’. My husband is 100% that it’s her name but I feel like I trip when I say it! Is this normal/weird! I didn’t do this with our son!

Sophie is an absolutely gorgeous name - very well suited to a baby and an adult. Sophie Annabelle sounds delightful and I don’t know how anyone could find it not nice.
Lovely choice of the name, don’t worry I still call my 12 week old “baby sean” or “baby seany” - it’s compelling normal

Obviously there are no guarantees. But I have a goddaughter called Sophie (I think it’s a gorgeous name) and she’s the only one in her class. Her parents have only met one other one.

I want to thank all of you- your comments are helping me realise that I'm not alone in this, others have felt they too may have had a wobble on their baby name! And also that this will ease/pass. She will become her name.

I feel bad as I'm certainly not married to an ogre and defo agreed at the time to Sophie it's just I don't think he realised (as I never told him!) that through my pg in my head I thought of 'her' (we didn't know she was a girl at the time!) as Annabelle.

Thank you to the post which concluded 'you've not saddled her with a howler!' That did make me laugh!

One of my neighbours had a daughter called Clara, and then when she was about 8 months old changed her name to Genevive, and now everyone's forgotten that she started off as Clara.
Except you. Grin
