Registering the name today, still undecided!

My daughter is 2 weeks old and we are registering her name today. The names we have chosen are quite familiar since I'm french and my dh is Finnish/Welsh. We love them all! Impossible to choose but releaved she will soon have a name

Our finalists:
Lily
Elsi (without the e, the Finnish/Welsh spelling)
Freya
Vivienne (nn Vivi)
Ida (pronounced Ee-da)

Whats your fav?

I like all of them except Lily, which is so ubiquitous it is boring.
Really like the spelling Elsi, seems a bit more cool and edgy and you have a valid reason for different spelling.
Freya is really pretty, but also a tad overdone.
My favourite is probably Ida.

Look at her and call her each of them and decide which suits her best.

I agree with the practice shouting. Pretend your child is about to run into the road or go near a hit cup. Which one is easiest to say?
I know an Aurora and while it looks lovely written down, try shouting it at a misbehaving toddler!
If there's a vote I love Elsi and it speaks best to your heritage.
I'd write each down to see how it looks (not forgetting what initials spell) and do the which would you pick (between two at a time) game. You'll get your answer

Ida is beautiful!

Lily - nice but overused

Ida is fab. Though we do say 'eye da' I had a very old great aunt she was aunty 'eye da' (Ida)

Elsi is my favourite. I really like that spelling, and it reflects the Welsh and Finnish heritage which is lovely.

I have a Welsh name in England which is misspelled and mispronounced. The misspelling is much less annoying than the mispronunciation, so I'd go for Elsi over Ida for that reason.

In my case some of the misspellings are utterly bizarre; at least Elsi getting Elsie means she's getting a legitimate alternative spelling. A bit like an Ann getting Anne.

I think I'm going to add Elsi to my list.
