Can't decide between Clara and Lydia

Hi!

DM and I are a little bit stuck trying to choose a name for our 3 days old daughter.

One of us likes Clara, and the other one likes Lydia.
Lara is another one that we are considering.

Help, please!

I love Cara but hate Clara. Don’t love Lara either. Lydia for definite.

Lydia is my favourite, it was on our shortlist for DD1

They’re all very nice. I worked with a loooot of a Clara’s during one period (haven’t met any since!) and I have an aunt Lydia I’m not very fond of, so I’d personally go with Lara. Plus I think it’s the nicest of the 3.

Do you both like Lara? I’d go with whatever you can agree on.

They are both lovely. Lyra is similar and a beautiful name

Love Lara and Clara but Lydia makes me think 'eye lid' . Apart from that I don't think it sounds as nice as the other two

I like Lydia and Lara. Clara has been having a moment for a while and is already a bit dated.

Yes I know teenage and early 20s Clara's. They are all nice though.

Of the two, Lydia is more classic and less likely to date imo. Clara is pretty but part of the retro name surge (Ada, Nancy, Florence, Evelyn etc) so may be a bit more "now".

Lara on the other hand has never been very popular as far as I know, and is my favourite - it has a romantic/poetic feel to me.

Both nice but I prefer Lydia. Clara sounds a bit more old lady.

Really like Lydia. So pretty. I really wanted to use it but DH was a no....we have a Claudia instead and I love that. I do also like Lara and Clara but prefer Lydia way more.

Lydia is a middle aged name to me, and isn't a nice name to say.

Out of yours I prefer Lara. I don't like the clll sound.

Lara imo the other two are meh

I like both - Clara popular for a while but Lydia catching up. Toss a coin. Or Stella, Adela, Louisa are slightly less pop alternatives.

I’d avoid Lara, it’s nice but blends with all the Lola Lyra Lila Lena leahs
