Right so if you've narrowed it Jesse or Ethan I'd have to go with Ethan although I agree with the PO who said everyone they knew names Ethan was annoying, unfortunately, that's my experience as well.

There was a largish man in our village called Jesse when I was growing up, I'd regularly hear people making unkind comments, just never to his face though. I can imagine it was quite a rough ride when he was younger and in school.

Ethan maybe tooooo popular?! I am liking the name more but it's a bit nothingy to me which I don't think is good when it's your baby! Prob only one in the top 30
