Fox or Honeychurch.

Asking for a friend who is changing her name after a difficult, to say the least, relationship. They are both family names. She can't decide which to choose.(I wish my surname was half as nice.)

She has a 4 syllable name if it makes any difference.

TIA

I am initially charmed by Honeychurch but if I had to make the choice I'd go for Fox. It's short and sleek. Love it.

Serpenta · 08/06/2021 14:08

Especially with a four syllable first name.

gingerandproud4always · 08/06/2021 14:09

Oooh honeychurch is pretty x

PegPeople · 08/06/2021 14:11

With a 4 syllable name I think Fox would be more sensible and sound better. 4 syllables and then having Honeychurch is going to be a complete mouthful.

TatianaBis · 08/06/2021 14:15

Honeychurch is lovely. Reminds me of Room with A View.

But Fox is more practical.

AlmostSummer21 · 08/06/2021 15:48

Fox

Honeychurch is a bit midsommers.

Are they her only 2 options though?

I fancy Wigglesbottom.

Synchrony · 08/06/2021 18:12

Honeychurch. Beautiful.
I dislike Fox as a name, it sounds like a swear word to me.

plowlom · 08/06/2021 18:14

Fox

TuvoknotSpock · 08/06/2021 18:16

Honeychurch

My maiden name was awful and my married name is boring. I wish I had a cool surname!

VanillaAndOrange · 08/06/2021 20:21

I think I'd go with Fox.

partyatthepalace · 08/06/2021 20:26

Honeychurch

Too glorious for words

Also fox just makes me think of Laurence right now

DramaAlpaca · 08/06/2021 20:45

Fox with a long first name, Honeychurch with a short one.

HalzTangz · 08/06/2021 20:47

I'd pick fox for one reason only, makes form filling that bit quicker

Bichette · 08/06/2021 20:54

Fox
Short, easy to spell, quick to write.

Moomala · 08/06/2021 20:57

Fox

Raindropumbrella · 08/06/2021 20:58

Honeychurch

MySocalledLoaf · 08/06/2021 21:00

Honeychurch

WalkingAfterMidnight · 08/06/2021 21:31

Honeychurch....or Honeychurch-Fox 😁

GettingItOutThere · 08/06/2021 21:41

why not both?

Honeychurch-Fox

Tillygetsit · 08/06/2021 23:01

Fox. Short easy and practical.

Blondiney · 08/06/2021 23:07

Love them both but Fox just edges it. The Samantha Fox association is unfortunate but younger people won't have heard of her.

LadyLolaRuben · 08/06/2021 23:15

With a four syllable name I'd go with Fox. Or as suggested a PP suggested if she isn't bothered by a lengthy surname double barrel it.

Posieandpip · 09/06/2021 02:42

Honeychurch is lovely. Fox is short and snappy. Both are cool. I'd choose Honeychurch.

Aquamarine1029 · 09/06/2021 02:47

Fox. Definitely.

applesarethebest · 09/06/2021 02:58

I live near Leicester, so I am obliged to say Fox 🦊

But on a serious note, I'd echo PP - Fox with a long first name, Honeychurch with a short one.
