Nicknames for Tabitha

We have decided to call our little girl Tabitha and I’m hoping to find a slightly unique nickname (not so keen on tabby.)

Any suggestions? I know lots of people will say that nicknames just come in time but would like to have something up my sleeve that we already like.

Her full name will be : Tabitha Illaria Diana

My name is Tabitha, and I've gone by Tabby all my life. You could also use Tea/Tee/T or even Tae. I also use those nicknames myself. It's really whatever works for you and your daughter.

I know a couple and they go by Tabs or their full name. I think sticking to Tabitha would be my choice!

I know 2. One is Tabby and one is Tats.

How about Tabitha Illaria Tilly?

I quite like Bibi

Presumably by now little Tabitha now has one or more nicknames.

My Tabitha goes as Tiggs, Tiggy, Tibby, Bea, Betsy, Bitsy, Kitty… millions of nicknames! 😂 Nobody says Tabby for some reason. Although I do like it!

I know one who is Buffy, presumably from Bithy - but if Buffy can be a diminutive for Elizabeth then I don’t see why it can’t be for Tabitha

The other two are mostly Tab or Tabitha

Given the kid will be able to say her own name by now, and will have an established nickname, there’s not much point in ‘helping’ the OP at this stage, folks…

I know one who was tibby/tibs but not so much now as an adult. And her mum called her twitchet after Tabitha twitchet from Beatrix Potter.
