Hi I'm only a few weeks away from giving birth and this is my shortlist. I'd be really grateful for any help in getting it down! Thanks x

Millie
Daisy
Alice
Thea
Grace
Nancy

I really like Daisy.

Don't like Thea. The rest are pretty but sound a bit twee on an adult.

Synchrony · 11/05/2021 20:25

I like Alice, Daisy and Nancy.
Grace is OK.
I don't like Millie (nickname) or Thea (too soft for my taste but nothing wrong with it).

Hufflepuffsunite · 11/05/2021 20:31

I like Thea and Nancy best.

Blueskytoday06 · 11/05/2021 20:32

Alice and Nancy

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 11/05/2021 20:40

Millie - a bit nicknamey, but okay
Daisy - too cutesy
Alice - classic and timeless
Thea - lovely, if slightly trendy
Grace -nice but extremely popular
Nancy -too trendy retro

Alice is my fave, but the only ones I dislike are Nancy and Daisy.

sarah13xx · 11/05/2021 20:47

Millie is such a classic, always loved it
Also really love Daisy! I know it’s becoming more popular but it is really nice

sibbys · 11/05/2021 21:18

Alice
Daisy
Nancy
Millie
Grace
Thea

17caterpillars1mouse · 11/05/2021 21:51

Millie - like, but prefer as a nn for Millicent and prefer Milly

Daisy - not a fan, too curtsey
Alice - like it
Thea - love
Grace - really like it
Nancy - not a fan, plus I know 3 Nancy's under 1 so it must be gaining popularity

I'd I had to choose one I'd personally go with Thea, it's well known, easy to spell but not overly common

Sauvignonblanket · 11/05/2021 21:55

Thea or Nancy from me

pilates · 11/05/2021 21:56

Alice and Grace are my favourites

TempsPerdu · 11/05/2021 21:59

Alice or Nancy for me.

Grace - bland and overdone

Millie - insipid and doesn’t age well
Daisy - cutesy and twee - there are plenty of much stronger nature names
Thea - looks unfinished, pronunciation issues and will be faddy

AnnaSW1 · 11/05/2021 22:06

I like Grace and Thea but I wouldn't use Thea myself because it sounds to much like fear.

finallychangedmyusername · 11/05/2021 22:08

Alice, closely followed by Nancy for me. I do like Millie as a nickname for Matilda.

MumofSpud · 11/05/2021 22:22

Millie ok as a nickname/ diminutive
Daisy No too popular
Alice ok
Thea ok
Grace ok
Nancy ok

Cam2020 · 11/05/2021 22:32

Millie - seens a bit bland these days from overuse

Daisy - sweet but same as above

Alice - love it

Thea - like it

Grace - love it, but I'd personally be worried that she'd not be graceful in the slightest

Nancy - dislike but purely because of Oliver Twist.

Chilldonaldchill · 11/05/2021 23:25

Millie - not keen. Not substantial enough for me. The Millys I've known (always spelt with a y) have all been lovely though
Daisy - I like this.
Alice - I do like Alice but I think it's having a huge revival
Thea - easily my favourite. I totally disagree that it's faddy. I don't actually know any young ones but I know Theas from 25 to 80 and I think it's timeless and beautiful
Grace - this is my last favourite - boring and overdone
Nancy - I like this.

Thea is an easy favourite for me with Daisy and Alice joint second.

partyatthepalace · 11/05/2021 23:49

Nancy - love it, not too popular either
Grace is quite nice, but slightly makes me think of grease

Not keen on the rest
Millie - fine as a nn
Daisy - ok, bit wet, makes me think of cows
Alice - so so many, needs retiring
Thea - ok as a nn for Theodora etc

badg3r · 11/05/2021 23:51

I love all of them!

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 11/05/2021 23:55

Millie - common (please don’t hate me)
Daisy - a little dull
Alice - pretty and timeless
Thea - probably my favourite out of your list
Grace - classic and beautiful
Nancy - it’s pretty but I don’t think it’s a strong name

Theoldwoman · 12/05/2021 00:32

Love love love Alice.

Classical, beautiful, timeless.

Suits a baby through to an adult.

Crunchymum · 12/05/2021 12:56

Millie - not a fan (too frilly)
Daisy - not a fan (too girly)
Alice - love
Thea - it's OK (feels like it should be short for something)
Grace - not a fan (too popular)
Nancy - love

Iris2020 · 12/05/2021 13:54

What a lovely list - well chosen!
I personally love Millie, Daisy (really don't get the cow connotation at all), Alice, and Thea. Grace is nice too. I don't get positive associations from Nancy but that may be a personal thing.

ILoveShula · 12/05/2021 19:11

Millie - too nicknamey
Daisy - ok but a bit twee
Alice - would use
Thea - don't like it at all
Grace - ok but wouldn't use it
Nancy - ok but wouldn't use it

Notlong · 13/05/2021 21:32

Alice or Grace for me xX

MercyBodle · 14/05/2021 14:47

I'd narrow it down to Alice, Daisy, Grace or Nancy.
