Can’t decide on girls names

OH and I have a short list but don’t love each other’s top choices.
Mine is Iris but he isn’t keen
His is Holly which I think is nice but a bit meh.

Others:
We both like Eve but think it’s probably too common
Sofia
Zoe

Middle name will either be Ruby or Florence.

Love but can’t use as they’re cousin’s names: Thea, Juliette, Imogen

Any help or tips gratefully received!

Evelyn instead of Eve?

If you are worried about popularity I would steer clear of Eve - although it in itself isn't that popular, other names with similar sounds are. I love Zoe, it is classical and elegant and timeless and easy to spell and pronounce- perfect name. Also goes nicely with Florence.

I like the simplicity of Eve and really like Eve Florence, also like Iris and Iris Ruby has a lovely flow. Unfortunately don’t like Zoe, it is a ‘middle aged’ name to me. Good luck with your induction!

Zoe Ruby doesn't flow like Iris Ruby. Plus Zoe isn't a particularly nice name

I really like Eva as an alternative to Eve. It was the name of a character on a TV programme I watched recently and I thought it was really pretty and refreshing amongst all the Eve/Evie/Evelyns.

Eva Florence is gorgeous but Eva Ruby works well too.

Good luck and she may be here by now. What about Hebe or Clara

( I get the hate for Flo but really don't think it would be a given nowadays)

Holly is very dated as well as meh. That’s not something a bloke would know.

Not keen on Evelyn or Eva and I take the point about names like that being very popular as much as we love Eve.

Esther also lovely but doesn’t go with our surname. I like Esme but OH thinks it’s pretentious
