Alternative spellings for Macy

Hello everyone, would like to hear which spelling variation for the name Macy you prefer:
Maisie or Maisy (usually pronounced May-zee but heard pronounced as may-cee as well)
Maicy
Mayci
Maysi

Maisy / Maisie would never be pronounced Macy, so you would endlessly be correcting people.

All of the other suggestions are truly awful.

Why, oh why do people do this to names? What on earth is wrong with just spelling them the correct way?

I knew someone at school called Carly who started spelling it Karrleigh.

Why mess with the spelling? Mach is lovely as is Maisie, the awful suggestions in your opening post are just that, awful....

If you want Macy it’s easiest to spell it correctly.

Much prefer the name Maisie though!

What about Tansy? You could spell it T'aanz- eihhhh

The name is dreadful as you are asking. In addition, spelling it incorrectly just makes you look illiterate. People will judge your poor daughter and she will be embarrassed that her mother couldn't spell when she grows up. Just call her Maisie. It's a normal name instead of copying some American Singer from 20 years ago.

Why can’t you just use Macy (or Macie or Macey which at least make sense)?

My DD is Macy, however we are constantly correcting people who think she is called Maisie. She's only 4, a lifetime ahead of her of people calling her a completely different name as people are too lazy to listen properly. All the children at her nursery called her Maisie and even some of her nursery workers have called her it. Wish I'd foreseen it and called her something else

The only Macy I 'know' is the one from Teen Mom OG and she spells it Maci.

If I had to choose one from your list, then Mayci as it's the only one I'd pronounce correctly on first attempt.

I'd pronounce Maisie, Maisy and Maysi as "May-zee", and Maicy as "Mice-ee".

However, I agree with pps that Macy, Macey and Macie are better.

Macy is cute as it is. But if you want to be really original I’d just go with Sharon.
