Sienna by a mile

I love Sienna. Followed by Zara, then Georgia. I seem to be in the minority here but am really not a fan of Astrid.

It seems I'm in the minority but I would put Astrid a very distant last from your list of gorgeous choices.

1. Zara
2. Georgia, but as PP, prefer Georgina which would be #1
3. Sienna
4. Astrid

Astrid and Zara are both great choices. I'd probably go for Zara, not so keen on Ass as a nn, and though I like Astrid loads, its quite a hard name.

The office did put me off Astrid. It probably won't be a well known reference to your baby's generation though!

Georgia is very 90s/early 00s where as Sienna is very popular and my least favourite.

I don't think "Assturd" ref is one that really matters for Astrid - it's like the "Lilia is a sanitary towel" thing (in that I've only heard it mentioned on Mumsnet and it's unlikely to be a ref her generation will get). I'd think German/Scandi heritage before The Office for Astrid, personally. But if you aren't sure then stick with Zara (it's better known - top 100, and multi reference/class since some people will think of Zara Phillips and others the clothing brand).

I absolutely love the name Astrid, definitely my favourite! I also really like Zara and Sienna, although I would spell it Siena like the place name. Georgia, not really my choice.

Thank you, it seems to be a bigger thing in US forums anyway, from what I can see. Have a little bit of Scandi heritage on my side (great grandparent), although probably not enough to claim it - better than nothing I suppose!

Astrid, I love the name.

I love Astrid it’s a great name, easy to pronounce and spell, familiar but not overused. I do like Zara but the clothing brand association would put me off tbh. Maybe Clara or Lara?

Like Zara and Georgia. Not many young Georgia’s around and only know one Zara. Not keen on Sienna and reasonably popular.
I don’t like Astrid at all; seems a little try hard 😳
