Hello! Baby imminent and I want to make sure I haven't missed any excellent French names (personal link) for boys.

I'm not into the real classics like Pierre/Jacques, but do love those like Pascal, Lucien, Loïc, Yves...

Etienne, no idea if it's nice or not just fell madly in love with one. Sounds beautiful in English

I love the name Etienne, our fellow British friends wanted to call their son it but bowed to family opinion of hating it

Hello! Yes thank you for all your suggestions! I also really like Etienne but it's the name of a particularly odious ex-boyfriend of a close friend so is a bit tainted. I like Amaury too but tested it on British family and didn't like the pronunciation... The search continues!

Not sure how I missed this, sorry OP. Someone mentioned Yann which is lovely, what do you think of it?

Thank you all for your suggestions! Baby (sex unknown) still hasn't made an appearance but I think we're settling into Pascal as the front runner.

Ok, just be aware it’s very middle-aged here!

@notafanoftheman is right, Pascal isn’t a name given to babies in France. See pic if you’re interested. But I guess it doesn’t matter as you’re in the U.K. (I think?).
