Tristan or Charlie?

Baby is coming tomorrow and our shortlist is
Tristan James or Charlie James..
We can't decide at all and keep swinging between the two... don't know how to add a vote in but would love some opinions

Tristan, absolutely love that name.

Why do people say things like “if you like the name Charlie, call him Charles”? It’s thinking like that that means that when I give DS’s name eg at a doctor, they always say “do you mean X?” No, I don’t, if that was his name I’d have told you (so if I said Ben, they would ask “do you mean Benjamin?”)

My son is Tristan, I absolutely love the name 😊
