Esme or Paige ? Help me choose

I prefer Esme

Esme always reminds me of Esmerelda and Paige... well, Page. If I had to choose between the two I'm really not sure which. Are you going to use the accute E for Esme? Otherwise people might get the pronunciation wrong.

Esme by a mile out of those two. If you want to use Paige too I agree with pp that Esme Paige works well.

Going against the grain here, Esme is rather twilighty for me. Very tween.

I prefer Esme, but wouldn't use it because of the popular use of Ezmae (ugh) which would probably lead to constant correction.

Esme without an accent is pronounced “Esmee”. The “Esmay” pronunciation is properly spelled Esmé. It’s one of those distinctions that seems to be being lost though.

Not a fan of either but I've always found Esme a very ugly name.

Both are awful IMO but Paige is by far the worst of the two.

I know Paige is a first name but it sounds like a surname to me.

I agree with Esme being better. Paige seems like it's a name from the late nineties and a trend from the USA.

In My Girl 2, Jamie Lee Curtis is pregnant and suggests Esme and her husband says "it sound like a noise your nose makes" and every since then, that is all i think of.
