Beautiful girls names but not overused

My problem is the name that I feel like I might go for - unless I find one that feels like ‘the one’ in the next week or two is Grace.

I think it’s beautiful but I know it’s just so popular and that’s what’s bugging me. I noticed it had a real rise in the recent charts as well.

I’d like a feminine pretty name that isn’t overused but isn’t strange in the way that people are confused of spellings.

A boy would have certainly be called Ezra which fits all of my criteria - not overly popular but a well know enough name, lovely name and sound.

Any suggestions would be helpful because it’s getting closer and closer.
I’ve considered Aurelia for a long time but it’s the pronunciation and spelling that’s putting me off of that one.

Is Grace really that popular? There were none at my DD's primary school. Her high school has heaps of Madeleines, Olivias, Bellas and Siennas, but I've yet to hear of a Grace.

Grace is a strong, classic name so, OP, if you like it, use it. When your tot hits her teens give her a DVD of Miss Congeniality and show her a fabulous film heroine who shares her name.

Felicity (Fliss)
Has all the positivity and charm of Grace without the current popularity.

NANCY.

It's my absolute favourite girl's name. If this one is a girl, that's what she'll be called.

I wanted to call me son (if he was a girl) elouise. I just love it

daisypond · 29/09/2020 14:32

Elouise isn’t a name. It’s Eloise. It doesn’t have a U.

Good job you had a boy then yahyah.
Elouise is an ugly misspelling of Eloise. Louise is lovely but the extra E makes it yet another boring El- name.

@daisypond

Elouise is a variant of the spelling of Eloise
Of German origin and a variant spelling of Eloise which itself is derived from 'Helewidis', a compound name composed of the elements 'haila' meaning 'hale, hearty, sound' and 'Vid' meaning 'wide'.

It was 1189th in 2019 of girls names with 28 girls named Elouise

Eloise was 129th with 394 named this

You might not like the spelling but it is a proper name.
