What first names do you dislike because of people you have met?

I dislike the name Jamie but I didnt get on with a Jamie in school.

I used to love the name Katie until a few years ago when I met one who put me right off it.

Every single Hayley I have ever met has been a vile bully so much so that it’s put me off using the name Halle as it’s too close. I came across a beautiful little girl called Halle-Rose and would have had that on my list were it not for the evil Hayleys I knew. Two of them were psychopathic...it was literally like the film “Heathers” when I was at school but “Hayleys”. I’m convinced they wanted me dead. Every Amy/Amie/Aimee seems to take an instant hatred towards me so that’s out too.

I love the name Nathan, nickname Nate but then there was an awful boy at school called Nathan who would put people’s head’s through glass windows for fun and assault teachers. I compromised and was going to use the name Nathaniel but then a coworker used it for their PFB and always says it in a really singsongy annoying voice.

I love the name Gregory/Greg but I’ve known three, two of whom were arrogant workplace bullies who thought they were God’s gift indeed and the other was a stalker. So I can’t use that name. And I truly truly love it.

I’d like to add in Jolene, Vicky and Nicky/Nikki...in fact any icky/ikki name..Renee (man stealing bitch), Geraldine.

Love my Melanies and Claire/Clares though.

Laura, Sophie and Amy :( nice names, awful people I've met with them in childhood.

In adulthood I've found some nice ones though!

I know a horrible Sharron (nearly drove me to suicide) as did a Rosalyn - former bosses. I know a lovely Sharon though.

Kelly. Mind you I’ve only known one bitchy Kelly. Even as a kid she was a nasty vindictive thing with a vicious tongue old way beyond her years. She had me in tears many times. I bet she’s grown up to be brilliant, though. All the other Kellys I’ve known have been lovely
However Julies and Toms are always lovely.
Also I’ve never met a nasty Karen despite the bad reputation.
