Myron Roy (pronounced Mee-Ron)
Or
Ronald Alexander

Which one is your preference?

Myron Roy is more unusual and both names have family links

Second option just sounds smoother like a name of a writer 🤔

Planning to call him Ronnie either way

Ronald

a) as it is a recognised name where I live
b) because it is pronounced as you would read it and you would spell it as it sounds - I read Myron to rhyme with Byron, not how you suggest it would be said.

Sunbird24 · 12/09/2020 22:23

Ronald.
Because b) as @BackforGood said

Chewbecca · 12/09/2020 22:28

Ronald because I wouldn't know how to pronounce the other name.

NannyR · 12/09/2020 22:32

Ronald Alexander. Myron is open to mispronunciation, as others have said it looks like it should be pronounced my-ron, not mee-ron.

Falcone · 12/09/2020 22:43

Ronald

Brighterthansunflowers · 12/09/2020 22:45

Ronald by a million miles

SallySeven · 12/09/2020 22:46

Ronald Alexander.

Graymare · 12/09/2020 22:47

Ronald Alexander

emilybrontescorsett · 12/09/2020 22:48

I prefer Alexander.

guineapig1 · 12/09/2020 22:51

I’d go with Ronald too. As above my instinct would be to rhyme Myron with Byron.

Firebird83 · 12/09/2020 23:21

Ronald Alexander, definitely. I would have pronounced Myron like my-ron.

Spied · 12/09/2020 23:24

Ronald Alexander
(Although I'd go Alexander Ronald and still nn Ronnie)

PeaceAndHarmoneeee · 12/09/2020 23:30

Why not just go with Ronnie Alexander if you're going to call him Ronnie anyway. I really like Ronnie but not Ronald or Myron.

Tillygetsit · 13/09/2020 00:22

Myron Roy is a proper mouthful. Ronnie Alexander is fine.

SleepingStandingUp · 13/09/2020 00:25

I think your pronunciation of Myron means Ronald by default as I'd also rhyme or with Byron.
Byron and Alexander are both much nicer names incidentally...

QuantamBaby · 13/09/2020 00:27

Ronnie - I would pronounce Myron My- Ron not me-Ron and a lifetime of correcting people is a PITA!

janetmendoza · 13/09/2020 00:33

Ronald for all the reasons above

Halloween13 · 13/09/2020 02:49

Ronald hands down, myron pounced the wrong way is not great

ARoseInHarlem · 13/09/2020 03:00

Myron, but a different spelling?

ILoveStickers · 13/09/2020 07:10

Ronald, as most people say Myron to rhyme with Byron.

FippertyGibbett · 13/09/2020 07:16

Ronald - Ronnie.

ShouldWeChangeTheBulb · 13/09/2020 07:17

Ronald

ImHungry1989 · 13/09/2020 08:47

Ronald

MercyBodle · 13/09/2020 09:48

Ronald Alexander by miles.

CabernetSoWhat · 13/09/2020 09:58

Neither is particularly nice, but I would at least know how to pronounce Ronald.

Alexander would be my pick of those.
