Myron Roy (pronounced Mee-Ron)
Or
Ronald Alexander

Which one is your preference?

Myron Roy is more unusual and both names have family links

Second option just sounds smoother like a name of a writer 🤔

Planning to call him Ronnie either way

Ronald. I'd say the other one as My-ron

MikeUniformMike · 13/09/2020 12:43

I know a Myron and he definitely says it to rhyme with Byron.

How about Mekon

user1493494961 · 13/09/2020 12:45

Ronald, Meeron sounds odd (but prefer Alexander).

SoupDragon · 13/09/2020 12:49

I agree that I would pronounce Myron as "my Ron" and that Myron Roy is a mouthful.

So, another vote for Ronald.

Merename · 13/09/2020 12:51

Ronald too - love it, wee Ronnie so cute!

Aaliyahhh · 13/09/2020 12:52

Ronald Alexander

YummyInMyTummy · 13/09/2020 12:57

Alexander is the only name I like amongst those options... If I had to choose then Ronald Alexander. Myron pronounced Meeron is just odd.

Kiki275 · 13/09/2020 13:00

Myron is too close to moron for my liking. I'd be worried about bullying x

BalanceGreen · 13/09/2020 13:00

I know the name Myron from children's books and always said My-Ron....
I'd assume Ronnie was short of Ronald, but doesn't really matter if it's not used.

Again, I put no weight on middle names as they are rarely used, so I'd just pick one that is meaningful.

Ronald Roy sounds good Grin

Quizeerascal · 13/09/2020 13:01

Ronald, I like the nn Ronnie and the mn Alexander too

Odile13 · 13/09/2020 13:06

I vote Ronald.

If you pick Myron and pronounce it the way you’ve explained he will have to correct everyone repeatedly for life.

HoratioNightboy · 13/09/2020 13:41

If Myron rhymed with Byron then that would be my preference. But in this case I'd prefer Ronald.

itsjakeandamy · 13/09/2020 13:45

Ronald.
Myron looks as though it should be pronounced to rhyme with Byron, pylon, Dylon etc.

Ellmau · 13/09/2020 13:48

Myron Roy is more unusual

Yes, and I think there's a reason for that. Plus your pronunciation choice is setting up your DS for a lifetime of correcting people.

Ronald Alexander.

TigerQuoll · 16/09/2020 01:25

Myron would never get pronounced how you would like and he would get called moron at school. So not a good idea

Sk1nnyB1tch · 16/09/2020 01:29

Ronald Alexander is a good name. Sounds like an author or actor.
Just as long as his surname won't start with T.

Jj2431 · 16/09/2020 02:48

Ronald Alexander

ButterflyRuns · 16/09/2020 03:18

Ronald Alexander because most people will go to pronounce Myron as it looks.

VytaminSea · 16/09/2020 07:52

Both hideous. Just call him Ronnie for god sake!

KW4816 · 16/09/2020 08:54

Aww I would agree with the majority here and opt for Ronald Alexander Smile I prefer the nn Ronnie, although it does remind me of Mrs Hinch haha! Myron makes me think of Moron Blush if I am honest..

GreenJellyBean · 16/09/2020 16:49

Another vote for Ronald Smile

Bellamybells · 16/09/2020 21:44

I love Ronald
