Using the same name as an acquaintances daughter?

Ok so she’s more than an acquaintance- she’s a friend from school who I probably see 2/3 times a year at the absolute max. More part of a wider social circle but very good friends with one of my best friends.

Her youngest daughter is called Ivy - a name I had loved for a while - before I was pregnant, before she had her 1 year old.

I’m considered other names too but I’d discounted Ivy early on because of this but now I can’t stop thinking about it.

Thoughts?

I’ve met quite a lot of little Ivys recently (midwife, meet a lot of newborns!) so it’s not like it’s something really ‘out there’ which might have made it look like you were copying her.

There is literally no reason not to call your daughter Ivy.
