Esther?

Please tell me what you think of the name Esther?

I'm not due for a few months so just getting ideas.

I really like it, husband is not sure but he doesn't dislike it, It's just not very common where we live.

Honest opinions please?

No, awful.

Love it - strong and elegant. I almost chose it as my confirmation name (picked Martha instead).

I like it but prefer Hester. I love Hettie as a non.

I think it’s a really unattractive name. Similar to Hester and Ethel, granted not as bad.

How about Aster, Ada, Estie, Etti, or Vesper?

Love it. One of my favourite people is called Esther so remibds me of her.

It's too far the other way from pretty and frilly. Frumpy in my mind, though not as bad as Hester.

I like it. As previous poster has said, the Biblical Esther was an amazing woman.
