Esther?

Please tell me what you think of the name Esther?

I'm not due for a few months so just getting ideas.

I really like it, husband is not sure but he doesn't dislike it, It's just not very common where we live.

Honest opinions please?

I disagree - Millie is actually my husband's grandmother's name and my daughter's. Ages nicely I think.

Esther is a lovely name.

Lovely. We nearly called DD Esther (after Judy Garland in Meet me in St Louis 😊😊).

My youngest is Esther and I love it. Unusual but everyone knows it and can spell it. We only ever get good comments and she's the only one we've ever met which makes me like it more!

I have a 2 year old Esther and I can’t imagine her called anything else.
People always comment on her name in a positive way.

A friend of mine recently called his daughter Esther. It's lovely.

I love the name Esther. I lost a pregnancy between DS and the one I’m currently carrying, so we named that baby Esther in our minds.

Don’t be too sure about the spelling. My DD has frequently had ‘Ester’ and ‘Esta’.

I'm so sorry OP, I really don't like it.

My great grandmother lived in a care home and the lovely old lady that lived in the apartment next to hers was called Esther. The name makes me think of her and the horrible character named Esther in the horror film "The Orphan".

Strong, elegant name. Good choice. It was on my list but we went with Audrey which I think has a similar feel.

Just perfect!
