Lila or Patrick

Orphlids · 18/08/2020 23:36

Bloody hell, Velocity and Oblivion are both absolutely wonderful!

SerBrienneOfHouseTarth · 18/08/2020 23:43

Inspector Gadget for a boy, Wildstyle for a girl!

CoffeeRunner · 18/08/2020 23:43

Can we just clarify (as it’s confusing the hell out of me on this & recent MN threads);

DD9 = my ninth born daughter.
DD age 9, DD (9) or 9 year old DD = 9 year old daughter.

LuluJakey1 · 18/08/2020 23:44

When DS 1 was 2.5 he wanted to call DD - KitKat
When he was 4 he wanted to call DS2 - Colin the Caterpiller
DD - at 2.5 wanted to call DS2 - Poooopy

CoffeeRunner · 18/08/2020 23:45

And to answer the OP. DD’s answer would be Holly or Bob!

whatausername · 19/08/2020 00:13

@IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere

When DS was 6 he wanted to call his unborn sister Velocity. Three year old DD rather liked Jemima Puddleduck.
Combine them into Jemima Velocity Puddleduck for your next. It rolls rights off the tongue 😂
HunkyPunk · 19/08/2020 00:28

Years ago, a neighbour asked her then 4 year old what name he would give his sister, when she arrived. After some thought he decided on Beaverhive. Rather inventive I thought at the time, and quite memorable Grin

ReggaetonLente · 19/08/2020 00:30

Sissy for a girl.
Tanks for a boy.
🤷🏻‍♀️

Amiable · 19/08/2020 00:32

My DD was most put we didn't name her baby brother Papa Smurf! (She was 4 at the time...)

stophuggingme · 19/08/2020 00:40

Chocolate calendars (galaxy counters I believe)
Sonic boom
Heart smile

RollerCoasterProteinSpill · 19/08/2020 00:54

DD 1 was 6 when I pregnant with my 2nd and suggested Wolfgang. When DD 1 was 14 and I was expecting number 3 she charmingly suggested OhNoNotAgain. My 3rd has just named her new pet Luna. All 3 declare they will never make me a granny 😣

MaddeningtheUnhelpful · 19/08/2020 00:55

When my daugther was born, eldest DS would only refer to her as Jake. Nothing like her actual name and raised eyebrowns when he'd proudly introduce his new sister as Jake Grin
When youngest DS came along her decided on Thor, but Arthur as his full name. The boy is an evil genius... Baby wasn't called Arthur though unfortunately

MrsTerryPratchett · 19/08/2020 01:01

DD is 9, doesn't want a sibling, and in order suggested Poopy Pants, Leavemealone and "what's the ugliest name Mum?". Glad she's an only right now.

Carouselfish · 19/08/2020 01:02

DD aged five suggested Shark bait or Jessie and James (Pokémon related)

WiltedWillows · 19/08/2020 01:09

Chubbs 😳

len1234 · 19/08/2020 01:12

8 y/o - Daisy or Ryder
7 y/o - Brynn (her friends name)
2 y/o - No!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 19/08/2020 01:15

Charlie or Skye

lakesidesummer · 19/08/2020 01:48

Holly
or
Roald

Pizzamyhart · 19/08/2020 02:12

My 3 year old DS wants to call his baby brother Godzilla. I think we are going in a different direction but it's always there as a back up.

Teapot13 · 19/08/2020 02:41

When I was pregnant for DD2, DD1 (and all of us really) called her Ba Ba Black Sheep. She even told my doctor and people in shops. Everyone loved it, but we decided to go with a different name.

BritInAus · 19/08/2020 02:50

Twin girls - Elsa and Anna. Obviously.

MarinaMarinara · 19/08/2020 02:54

“Gordon. Or Percy. But Gordon is better”

“Viv or Poppy” for a girl apparently. Did not see Viv coming.

rottiemum88 · 19/08/2020 03:56

DS is going with "tiger" Grin

nevergoingoutagain · 19/08/2020 04:02

When my middle dd (now 11) found out dd3 was going to be a girl she chose the name pooface. She wanted boy 🙄
