I think Tabitha and Juliet are really sweet! Clara I find a bit overused at the moment, and Harriet and Dorothy a bit too far on the frumpy side.

Peachbubble · 16/08/2020 21:23

I like them all apart from Juliet. Favourite is Tabitha.

SE13Mummy · 16/08/2020 21:27

Clara, Dorothy and Harriet are my favourite from your list. I know a few girls with the names Clara/Klara or Harriet ranging from age 2 to 16, and a 15 year old Dorothy.
Harriet and Dorothy both have a variety of nickname options too e.g. Harry, Hattie and Dot, Dotty, Thea.

Magicbabywaves · 16/08/2020 21:27

Tabitha is darling. Also, I know a cat called Juliet and a dog called Harriet, so I don’t know why people keeping going on about Tabitha being a cat’s name. I also love Dorothy.

Layla219 · 16/08/2020 21:30

I really like Juliet! 😍

Siablue · 16/08/2020 21:35

Juliet and Harriet are my favourites.

ellenpartridge · 16/08/2020 21:36

I like Clara and Juliet best, then Harriet

twinkledag · 16/08/2020 21:44

Juliet is my favourite.

nonicknameseemsavailable · 16/08/2020 21:47

Dorothy - nope sorry, really don't like it, very old fashioned and I am not sure it was ever a pretty name, Dotty for a nickname is hideous
Harriet - sounds extremely upper class to me, makes me think of horses for some reason
Tabitha - cat
Clara - like it - simple, elegant
Juliet - like it - prefer the spelling Juliette but having seen what someone says about the nickname of Jules I am looking at it a bit differently.

FizzingWhizzbee123 · 16/08/2020 21:58

In order

Clara
Juliet
Tabitha
Harriet
Dorothy

Namaste6 · 16/08/2020 21:59

Harriet - hands down. 🙏

SummerNamechangeHappened · 16/08/2020 22:03

Clara or Harriet.

RiteAid · 16/08/2020 22:17

Thank you everyone!

My favourite is Dorothy but I worry about the perception of it being too old fashioned (though it’s probably overdue for a comeback!) my second favourite is Harriet, which may be a safer choice. But I really like them all.

I really like Tabitha and Harriet. Clara and Julia perfectly nice. Dorothy sounds middle-aged.

bubblebubblebubbletrouble · 16/08/2020 22:23

I love them all except Tabitha (sorry - cat's name for me)
My favourite is Juliet (ette for preference)
I know a little Dotty who's about 4 - very cute.

Enough4me · 16/08/2020 22:25

Dorothy does sound very old I think. Harriet (Hattie) is more classic and timeless.

Tillygetsit · 16/08/2020 22:34

I like Dorothy best. Dottie and Dot are lovely.

TinyMetalBirds · 16/08/2020 22:39

Love Harriet. Dorothy second favourite, then Clara. Juliet Ok, don’t like Tabitha - knew sisters called Tabitha and Catherine and they were known as Tabby and Cat.

TinyMetalBirds · 16/08/2020 22:40

Just noticed your latest post OP - Dorothy is lovely, please go for it!

Buttercup54321 · 16/08/2020 22:42

Clara

Margo34 · 16/08/2020 22:43

Love Harriet and Tabitha. These are on my list too (along with Henrietta and Arrietty).

😊

Margo34 · 16/08/2020 22:45

@RiteAid I know two delightful girls under 5 called Dorothy....one nicknames Dot/Dotty and the other Dolly.

It's a lovely name!

ILoveAnOwl · 16/08/2020 22:47

I like them all. You have excellent name taste. Would you consider Dorothea? It's what we should've called DD, but we got side tracked. It would've totally suited her better.

Whatsyourflava · 16/08/2020 22:57

If Dorothy is your favourite you should use it @RiteAid it's already coming back so don't worry

mrsm43s · 16/08/2020 22:59

Love Tabitha and Clara. Like Juliet a lot. Secretly love Dorothy, but wouldn't be brave enough to go for it. Harriet, I find both dull and dated.
