As someone who can't stand 99% of girls names I so agree with the OP! I was so chuffed we ended up having a boy as I only liked fairly masculine names, I also love Billie/Billy and Robyn/Robin

Monty?

I like some of these boysie unisex names.

But might it not make a girl think you'd have rather had a boy?

Goodness knows what Nigella and her sisters Thomasina and Horatia thought. ..
.
Stevie is cool though. Stevie Smith...Stevie Nicks...

My niece has just named her baby girl Dylan (3 days old and divine). I'm not sure tbh. They're a cool couple into their tattoos and music so it probably seems right to them. I'd never say i was a bit iffy about the name, each to.their own.

Babs709 · 21/07/2020 15:56

I quite like Dylan actually, something appeals to me. I do like Bob Dylan but not a massive fan. Definitely heard worse (IMO)!

Puffalicious · 21/07/2020 16:00

I agree Babs I've heard much worse. It's growing on me.

My neighbour has 2 grand-daughters Pepper and Pixie. She and I both raised our eyes to heaven when they were born, but I quite like them now they're cute, mischievous toddlers.

Babs709 · 21/07/2020 16:11

Pepper and Pixie definitely got my attention more Hmm but I definitely think names fade into personalities and you soon forget that you ever felt that way.

Puffalicious · 21/07/2020 16:35

I think you're right there, Babs.

Skyla2005 · 21/07/2020 16:43

How about danni or Toby/Tobie. I think they are cute

These threads never go down well on MN. People can be so very judgy.

I have similar taste to you and have always LOVED Andi for a girl. Since the first time I saw a The Devil Wears Prada when I was about 12 years old. Other unisex type names I really like are Alex (much prefer it for a girl than a boy) Robyn, Brynn, Eddie, Frankie, Jamie.
