Is it in the same category as Tracey or is it like Rebecca and Sarah and possible to use once more? 😛

P.s. sorry to any Traceys or parents of Traceys!

No, I wouldn’t bracket in with Tracey.

It’s more like Caroline or Helena to my mind. Due a comeback and very pretty.

Wheresthebiffer2 · 03/06/2020 01:52

It's a lovely name, I hope it becomes popular again.

tinatsarina · 03/06/2020 02:00

I'm one. 90's baby so not to far in the past. More Christine's around me than other christinas

Sittingontheveranda · 03/06/2020 02:01

I don't think its in the same vein as Tracey nor do I think it is like Sarah. It probably fits more with names like Patricia, Martina, Nora, Vicky. Growing up, I knew a few Christina and Christine's - they were all eventually shortened to Chris, Tina or Chrissie. I know one baby Christina. I was surprised when her parents announced her name. Their other children have quite different names.

Aclh13 · 03/06/2020 02:36

I have an American aunt called Christina, we call her chrissie I always thought it was quite a nice name

DramaAlpaca · 03/06/2020 02:36

It's lovely, really nice. It's funny, but I see it in a totally different way to Christine, which is very dated. The only thing is I don't like any of the usual diminutives. The only one I know is in her 20s and never shortens it.

Flappingflamingo · 03/06/2020 02:49

I like it

DamnYankee · 03/06/2020 03:09

I like it! Also love Caroline...not Carolyn...

Just don't spell it Xtina Wink

BabloHoney · 03/06/2020 06:16

Love Christina. And Chrissie would be a cute nickname for a little girl.

ArcWorc · 03/06/2020 06:31

A Polish spelling is Krystyna.

SephrinaX · 03/06/2020 06:36

My younger sister is a 'Kristina' but she's always gone by Krissy.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/06/2020 07:05

I love the name Christina. Yes, It is dated. However that's not a,bad thing. Dated can be also cool and retro.

NannyR · 03/06/2020 07:07

I love it, Christy or Chrissie are lovely nicknames too.

lilgreen · 03/06/2020 07:07

Lovely name. Classic.

Igtg · 03/06/2020 07:08

Beautiful name. Never met one!

Standrewsschool · 03/06/2020 07:08

I see it as classic rather than dated. Lovely name.

lilgreen · 03/06/2020 07:08

Christa is nice too. Or Cristobel.

userabcname · 03/06/2020 07:08

I like it. I have a cousin in her 20s with this name and it really suits her. I don't think I've ever taught one over the last 8 years either.

finallychangedmyusername · 03/06/2020 07:27

Lovely name, I also like Christabel

Elouera · 03/06/2020 07:32

A Swedish friend is Cristina and an Aussie Kristine.

Alternatives could be Kirsten and or Kristen.

OnABeachSomewhere · 03/06/2020 07:44

It's a lovely name due a comeback.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 03/06/2020 07:46

I think of it as classic like Elizabeth or Mary i.e. I've come across a baby with this name in recent years but not more than one

daisypond · 03/06/2020 07:50

It nice, not dated. It’s a classic name.

ifigoup · 03/06/2020 07:54

I do think it’s dated, but not in a horrible way. Christiana would be a slight more contemporary-sounding version.
