Heard it recently and really like it but worried it might suddenly get too 20 popular?

Huxley

I want something different and cool but keep seeing it suggested or people using it so am not sure?

It reminds me of General Hux from the latest Star Wars films. Not someone you want to be named after.

I have a Huxley! It means "outdoorsman" which is perfect for him.

I also have a Quinlan which means both "wise" and "descendant of the handsome man". My husband chose it

My friend has just called his dog Huxley. I hadn’t heard of the name before so don’t think it is becoming v popular. Use it if you like it :)

@tellmesomethingreal I think we've met one other- mine is now six and a half! Our wedding coordinator ended up naming her son Huxley a year after meeting us, so there are some around.

I think this is the name of Ant’s (from Ant and Dec) dog. For some reason there seems to be a running story in the tabloids about him and his ex wife sharing the dog. It’s ok, I’ve certainly heard worse.

I've never heard of it for a first name.
It sounds very "on trend" like a character from GOT or a Marvel movie.
It goes with Hunter, Baxter etc and I think it will date badly.
In 50 years time it will be one of those names which you will be able to pin point quite precisely when they were born.

I know two under five, I live in New Zealand.
I don't see it going top fifty but who knows, Alex was popular here, Max has done well and Xavier and Felix too.

Huxley isn't popular itself but it does have a certain sound that would identify it - very American surname kind of name. Logan and Hunter are very popular and they're similar.

I always think of Huxley Pig too

For me I'd never name my child after a pig or bear, which is what I immediately thought of seeing the name Huxley.

Be like calling a child Peppa or Yogi.

With all the symptoms that some people say Covid causes or might cause and the various things that some say might happen long term if you have it "major damage to the lungs if you get it" screamed one hysterical individual - who knows women might start spawning dogs if they have had Covid this year.....!

I can imagine some slightly unusual individuals might actually call their offspring

"Furlough" "Covid" "Corona"
