Thoughts on the name Mary?

I love it. I am Irish Catholic and all the Marys in my family are/were strong funny decent women.

I like the sound of it but it's used as a nickname for a vagina where I'm from so that's all I can think of!

I would put it with a more unusual middle name.

I find it plain and remember the recent thread on here in which it transpired that “Mary” is a slang term for vagina in some areas (Liverpool possibly? not sure).

It's a shame as it's a nice enough name and classic but all those Virgin connotations, I couldn't use it

It was what we called our genitals growing up, so I couldn't use it myself.
