Muslim boys’ names ideas

My husband’s family are Pakistani, mine are white British. Any ideas for nice Muslim names that won’t be mispronounced by my family?! Bonus points for names that exist in both cultures...

So far we like: Eesa/ Issa, Tobias, Laith, Noah.

My husband is also Pakistani, in white British. We have 2 boys Noah and yusef. I really wanted Joseph after my grandad but went with yusef as it's the same but Arabic.

Joffrey · 15/05/2020 17:34

I know a Zayn and a Zeph from a Muslim family.

Azdi
Hasni

I used to work in a Muslim country so every staff member was Muslim and we happened to do a lot of work with foreigners and these names were so easy to them, everyone forgot the others' names but these two always remained. I also think they're very easy to spell and straightforward when it comes to pronunciation based on spelling and they were honestly my favourite. I have even considered the name Azdi myself even if I'm not Muslim at all.

Aeris1 · 15/05/2020 17:51

I think Qasim is a nice name.

FindaPenny · 15/05/2020 17:55

Kamran is a Pakistani name and it would work in the UK too.

ElaineMarieBenes · 15/05/2020 19:02

I love the name Eisa (this is the spelling of a friends name).

I also really like Saif & Ismail

A friend (whose husband is Palestinian) called her son Adam

stanley10 · 15/05/2020 21:04

badtime · 16/05/2020 11:27

I gave one of my sons the middle name Dara as it is both Persian and Irish (I'm Irish), but it is well known in England.
I also liked Kayvan.

daphnerose · 18/05/2020 17:46

I am Persian (excuse the username as it is not my real name) so I love thinking of Arabic/Persian names.

Ozair - The Arabic form of Ezra
Eesa
Musa - Moses
Ibrahim - Abraham
Yunis/Jonas
Zachariah
Jacob (the j is pronounced as a y)
Yusuf
Masud
Zaki
Zahid
Nasser/Nasir

Hamza/Humza

SavageBeauty73 · 18/05/2020 17:49

I love the name Zayn

It's a nice sounding name but I'd say no, too many neo-Nazi connotations there.
